Grammy Award winning Nigerian star Burna Boy will co-headline in the UEFA Champions League final Pepsi Kick-off Show alongside Brazilian superstar Anitta, at the over 74,000 capacity Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

This revelation was made known by UEFA in March, to the delight of Nigerian football and music fans, to cheer music and football fans all over the world.

The “Giant of Africa” album singer will showcase his energy and vibes as he brings one of his most loved Afrobeats to millions of fans just before the kick-off of the Champions League final.

On hearing about the news, Burna Boy was quoted by UEFA saying:

“As a huge football fan myself, I know it doesn’t get any bigger than the UEFA Champions League! That’s why I’m so excited to be performing on the Pepsi stage at this year’s final. It was in this regard that Burna Boy aka Odogwu, arguably the biggest name in Nigerian and African, was selected to headline this year's Champions League Final Pepsi Kick-off Show. Burna Boy will be the first Nigerian music Superstar to perform in Europe's most elite club football final, an unprecedented milestone for the “African Giant”.

How Much Will Burna Boy Earn from the Champions League Final Show?

The “Last Last” crooner has had a minimum performing prize money of US$ 500,000 for some years now. A full analysis from Africa Nation revealed in 2022 that to book Burna Boy for an event, adding his fees, a 13-seater challenger jet for himself and his team with the specifications: “Private jet to be vetted by the management team prior to booking.”

Anywhere the Grammy-Award winning star is booked, on arrival he is to be “picked up by a convoy of five vehicles, a Sprinter bus, a van and three SUVs. The transportation should be available to the artist for the duration of the trip.”
