All eyes will be at G-Tech Community Stadium as Brentford vs Burnley face off in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The game kicks off at 15:00 BST, 21 October 2023.

Brentford have made a tough start to the new Premier League season.

The Bees have only one win from their opening eight Premier League (PL) games (D4, L3) – with that standing as their worst eight-match start to a PL campaign.

They come into this fixture on the back of a late capitulation to Manchester United where they lost 2-1 having led until the final embers of the game.

Meanwhile, Burnley got their first Premier League win against fellow newcomers Luton before going ahead to lose to Chelsea 4-1 at home before the international break.

However, with Lyle Foster back in the team, Vincent Kompany's side can aim to beat Brentford as they fight to improve on their points tally this season.

Match Preview – Brentford vs Burnley

Fresh from the international break, both teams will return to Premier League action with hopes of improving their position on the log.

The Bees are desperately in need of some form having picked up just one point (a draw with Crystal Palace) from their last four games.

With Lyle Foster in attack, Burnley will be pleased with the fact that Brentford have kept clean sheets in just two of their last 15 at this ground.

However, the loss of Ben Mee has clearly been felt by the Lancashire outfit with six goals conceded in the 140 minutes since his absence.

Nathan Collins, who moved from Burnley to Brentford after the Clarets’ relegation in 2022, has been booked twice in his last four Premier League games for the Bees.

The defender will be tasked to keep South African Lyle Foster quiet – the Burnley striker has a goal involvement in each of his last five PL appearances (G3, A2).

Brentford vs Burnley predictions

Prediction 1: Burnley to win or draw

Burnley are in better form than their hosts and will be brimming with confidence as they file out on Saturday.

As for Brentford,  they have to step things up despite the continued absence of Ivan Toney and Nico Henry. In addition, the Clarets' record against the Bees also puts them ahead.

Prediction 2: Brentford to score

This match will be keenly contested as Burnley are quite adventurous and constantly leave spaces behind which has led to 20 goals conceded already.

Meanwhile, Brentford have scored at least once in 17 successive home PL games. With these in mind, we back the home side to score at least a goal.

Prediction 3: Over 1.5 total goals

Burnley's last three games have produced this market, while three of Brentford's last four games have done similarly. We expect goals as these teams look to build on their last game performances.

Brentford vs Burnley head-to-head

It continues a good head-to-head record for Burnley who have lost just once to the Bees in their past seven meetings.
