Victor Osimhen news continues to dominate the transfer news scene with the latest reports linking him to Al-Hilal.

The Saudi Pro League side were recently in the news for offering Kylian Mbappe a €700 million salary for one year while offering €300 million to Paris Saint-Germain.

Osimhen was touted as Mbappe’s replacement at Parc De Princes among other transfer links to Germany and England. Osimhen news everywhere indicates he is set to remain at Napoli, however.

The €200 million Super Eagles’ ace is now seen as another plan B to Mbappe for Al-Hilal, who have been rejected by the Frenchman.

Osimhen news linking Napoli man to Al-Hilal: The details

The summer 2023 transfer window is in full flow. The Saudis have inserted themselves cleanly into the mix, snapping up European players as well as players of various nationalities who are doing well in European football.

The general consensus is that the Saudi Pro League is being worked on in order to better sell the idea of the nation as a football-enthusiastic one to help future bids for the hosting rights to the FIFA World Cup after withdrawing their bid for the 2030 edition in June 2023.

Osimhen is one of the players who is expected to make a big move this summer despite recent reports stating that he is going to remain at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium.

The latest Osimhen news from Italian journalist Marco Giordano indicates that the AFCON 2023 golden boot hopeful could be one of the players who will help Saudi Arabia bring more legitimacy to their football environment.

In his post on Twitter, Giordano wrote: “During the live broadcast for TV Play, my colleague Loïc Tanzi explained how Victor Osimhen is PLAN B of Al Hilal.

“There is a concrete possibility that Al Hilal will make an offer to buy Osimhen from Napoli.

“Possible meeting between footballer and Arab representatives in Paris? Why not? “There are many people around Osimhen who are pushing for new business and who can bring very generous offers to Napoli and the player. Saudi interest can change everything”.

Osimhen news comes from camp of player, journalist insists

Giordano went on to claim in his post that everything he claims to be the latest Osimhen news comes from the player’s camp. However, he also mentioned that the new deal with Napoli is close, giving the Partrenopei some hope ahead of the new Serie A season.

“These are his words. What I wrote for Calcio Mercato Italia is what filters from Naples and the footballer's entourage, or rather optimism,” Giordano’s tweet continues. “With a possible announcement of the renewal also in the next few days, given the close agreement reached between Aurelio De Laurentiis and Roberto Calenda (Osimhen’s agent).”

There is no information on the transfer fee that Al-Hilal will offer for Osimhen if the claims turn out to be true.

What we know, however, is that De Laurentiis has stated expressly that he will not let the 24-year-old striker go for less than €200 million.

That is €100 million less than what the Saudi side were willing to pay PSG for Mbappe.
