Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is an injury doubt for his side's upcoming game against Hellas Verona, according to IL MATTINO.
Osimhen limped just shy of the hour mark in Nigeria's friendly encounter against Roberto Mancini’s Saudi Arabia on Friday evening which ended in a 2-2 stalemate.
Per Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro, the 24-year-old is set to miss his nation's subsequent clash against Mozambique on Monday.
“Victor has gone to the room now, for an MRI [scan] to check the situation,” Peseiro told the media.
“Our responsibility is to control the health of our players. It is our responsibility to do everything, to speak with the doctor for Osimhen, [and] call the clinicals to check if he can play or not but in three days, we would put Osimhen on time watch.”
“We don’t have to play him again whatever the outcome of the scan is.”
While the injury period is yet to be determined, Osimhen is now a huge doubt for his side's return to league action after the international break.

Tuttomercatoweb have reported that Osimhen is scheduled to return to Italy on Monday and is likely to be out of action for about 10 days, meaning that he could also miss Napoli's Champions League group-stage against Union Berlin on October 24.
Latest injury to Osimhen further complicates tough season for Napoli so far
Osimhen has already scored six times in eight league games, including one in each of his most recent three Serie A matches.
The latest of his goals came in a 3-1 defeat against Fiorentina which left Rudi Garcia's men seven points behind Inter Milan at the top of the standings after just eight matchdays.

Napoli are yet to win a league outing in which Osimhen has failed to find the back of the net this term.
The striker will need to keep up his scoring form if Napoli are to mount a proper title defence and put behind them an underwhelming run of results.
Osimhen's latest injury scare certainly comes as a big blow to his current employers who already have little margin for error in their quest to record consecutive Scudetti having recently ended a 33-year title drought.
