The four teams yet to play the full complement of their ties are Enyimba (2), Remo Stars (4), Bendel Insurance (4) and Doma United (4).
Top of the pile this weekend is Enugu Rangers vs Lobi Stars.
Enugu Rangers currently lead the table; while Lobi Stars failed to leapfrog after their loss to Rivers United.
So far every team has lost at least one game this season, but we wait to see whether the tide will change again this weekend.
NPFL fixtures this week: November 01 – November 02
Kano Pillars vs Bayelsa United – November 1 (16:00)
Kano Pillars fell away to Enugu Rangers in week five. Sai Masu Gida has a chance to return to winning ways.
NPFL fixtures for week six see them take on Bayelsa United, who broke their three-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Kwara United.
Kwara United vs Sporting Lagos – November 1 (16:00)
Kwara United returns to Ilorin following their loss to Bayelsa United in Week five. The Harmony Boys are fifth on the log and must be wary of a dangerous Sporting Lagos side.
Sporting Lagos moved up the table to seventh after their 2-1 home win against Niger Tornadoes, with veteran striker Junior Lokosa scoring his first goal of the season.
Plateau United vs Katsina United – November 1 (16:00)
Plateau United have had a yoyo form this term. They lost a feisty tie against Gombe United in Week five.
The loss saw them drop down the table, but they should be able to beat Katsina United despite their resurging victory against Sunshine Stars.
Remo Stars vs Shooting Stars – November 1 (16:00)
The NPFL fixtures week five saw Remo Stars taking a break as their opponents, Enyimba, were on assignment on the continent.
Remo has only lost once this season, and the western derby will be tight as Shooting Stars have only one loss.
Sunshine Stars vs Abia Warriors – November 1 (16:00)
The Abia Warriors are yet to pick a point on the road. They have recorded two losses, but Sunshine Stars have not been formidable at home.
Abia Warriors will fancy their chances following the 2-2 draw Heartland recorded against Sunshine.
Doma United vs Bendel Insurance – November 2 (16:00)
The NPFL fixtures week six sees Bendel Insurance play their fifth game. The Benin Arsenal are smarting from their 0-0 draw with Akwa United and will want to bounce back.
Doma United might be an uphill task.
Niger Tornadoes vs Enyimba – November 1 (16:00)
After a disappointing campaign on the continent, Enyimba returns to domestic action with a trip to Minna.
The People’s Elephant must be wary of Tornadoes, as they are tricky customers. The tie is Enyimba’s third league fixture this term.
Lobi Stars vs Enugu Rangers – November 2 (16:00)
The top tie of the NPFL fixtures in week six is between sixth-place Lobi Stars and table-topping Enugu Rangers.
The Flying Antelopes have scored consistently, while Lobi Stars fired their first blanks this season in a 1-0 loss to Rivers United. It is their first loss of the season.
