Agent Gives Update On Conte’s Pre-Contract Agreement With Arsenal

Antonio Conte's pre-contract agreement with Arsenal are ‘absolutely not true,’ that’s according to Agent Federico Pastorello.

There have been rumors that the 52-year-old tactician is standing by to take over from Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.

This speculation is fuelled more by the fact that the former Inter boss, who is a free agent after terminating his deal with the Nerazzurri by mutual consent, has a clause in the termination barring him from taking any other jobs within Italy during this season, but he can work abroad.

An approach from Arsenal, who have had a dismal start to the campaign under Arteta, is what has been in the news in recent time.

There are even suggestions in the British press that Conte has a pre-agreement with the Gunners to take over when called in.

However, agent Pastorello told reporter Freddie Paxton that the rumours are “absolutely not true.”

He also assured there had been no formal approach towards Conte from Arsenal.

Conte spent two years at Chelsea, winning the Premier League title and the FA Cup before their acrimonious split in 2018.
