Arsenal Boss Mikel Arteta Sends Jack Wilshere Return Invitation

Gunners boss, Mikel Arteta has hinted that a return for Jack Wilshere to the club is possible as the former Arsenal midfielder has been unable to find a new club after leaving Bournemouth at the end of last season.

The 29-year old who came through the ranks at Arsenal most recently spent a stint training with Serie B outfit Como in Italy.

Wilshere made 197 first-team appearances between 2008 till when he left a decade later, he won two FA Cups at the Emirates Stadium where he also became a firm favourite among the Arsenal fans.

During his time with the Gunners he played alongside Arteta in Arsene Wenger’s midfield and the current Arsenal manager has invited his former teammate to the club.

Arteta while speaking at Arsenal's London Colney base, said he knows Wilshere very much, having shared the dressing room together and that he is so loved around the club.

“He is someone that I know who I shared the dressing room with, who is so loved around the club with every person here and our doors are always open.”

Wilshere who left Arsenal in 2018 for West Ham has seen his career and quality hampered by series of injuries and a chance at coming to train at Arsenal is one he'll accept with open arms.
