In this article, we will be presenting our Premier League predictions for matchday 1 of the 2023/24 season of the English top flight.
The 32nd season of the biggest league in the world will be kicked off with a Champion vs Champion game featuring EFL champions Burnley and 2022/23 Premier League champions Manchester City. The match will see Premier League legend Vincent Kompany return to English football’s top flight in a new capacity: the manager of Burnley.

Chelsea vs Liverpool
Chelsea and Liverpool will have a lot of people on their toes with their Premier League predictions about matches and situations involving them.

Chelsea are the most active club in the transfer market this summer, with almost every transfer news linking them to one player or the other. Liverpool, on the other hand, are struggling to complete their overhaul despite losing five first-team players.
As both clubs prepare to clash on matchday 1, fans are not sure what to expect. However, we believe that Liverpool will edge out the match narrowly and take home all three points.
Chelsea 1 – 2 Liverpool
Everton vs Fulham
Alex Iwobi and his Everton teammates will host Calvin Bassey and his Fulham teammates on Saturday 12 August at Goodison Park. The time for the match is 3 PM.
The afternoon sun will be shining down on both teams, who will be fighting for a place in the middle of the table.
Alex Iwobi will be looking to continue his fine form that saw him win the Everton Player of the Year award last season and Bassey, who is finally playing in the Premier League after dreaming about it for so long, will be looking forward to showing what he can do to the Premier League audience.

The match will be a typical mid-table match with end-to-end action and Fukham will take a point home.
Everton 1-1 Fulham
Arsenal vs Nottingham Forest
Taiwo Awoniyi and his Nottingham Forest teammates will travel to London to face off against almost-champions Arsenal in the first game of the Saturday round of fixtures for matchday 1.
Our Premier League predictions for this game are pretty straightforward: Arsenal will win. This is not because Awoniyi’s team is bad. It is simply because Arsenal will be better on the day.

The Tricky Trees were thrashed 5-0 on their last visit to the Emirates. In the reverse fixture, Awoniyi put them to the sword, with his lone goal being a major contributing factor in Arsenal’s failure to claim the league title ahead of Man City.
Mikel Arteta will be out for revenge and not even the Super Eagles trio of Awoniyi, Emmanuel Dennis and Ola Aina will be able to help the visitors on the day.
Arsenal 3 – 0 Nottingham Forest
Manchester United vs Wolves
Manchester United are one of the teams that many Premier League predictions will be wrong about this season. This is because of their erratic form and their erratic transfer window dealings.
However, we agree with most Premier League predictions of their victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday 14 August 2023.

Erik ten Hag’s men will come out on top at the fixture which will be played in Old Trafford at 8 PM. They will do so with flying colours as well, bearing in mind the humiliation of their opening-day defeat from last season.
