Victor Osimhen is up and running for the 2023/24 European football season.
He is currently one of four top scorers in the Serie A after one game week.
This shows that he is ready to defend his Capocannoniere award from last season, which saw him score 26 goals to lead Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
Napoli have officially tied the Super Eagles striker to a new long-term contract.
A number of Premier League sides have already declared their interest in him, but Goalball Live thinks that the following need a player like Victor Osimhen more than others.

Chelsea
Chelsea are long-term admirers of Victor Osimhen. It is understood that their interest in the Napoli striker dates back to when he scored against them in the UEFA Champions League while he was still at LOSC Lille.
Before the current transfer window opened, they had approached both the player and Napoli to discuss the terms of a potential move.
Osimhen, a childhood fan, was excited about the move but everything fell through.
Chelsea would sign Senegal international Nicolas Jackson instead, leaving Osimhen to remain with Napoli and fight for another Serie A title.
However, there is still a dearth of goalscorers within the current squad of the five-time Premier League champions.

Osimhen is surely staying put at Napoli this season but Chelsea might be the first in line when the striker’s release clause comes into effect next summer.
Liverpool
Jürgen Klopp is short on players that will push his team back into being title contenders in the Premier League and Osimhen may just be the man for him.
The Reds signed Uruguayan striker Darwin Núñez last season and though the 24-year-old looks like a great addition to the squad, he has not really hit the ground running.
It is especially worrisome for Klopp, who is also witnessing the goalscoring decline of Mohamed Salah.
The Egyptian is still Liverpool’s main man but without Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mané, he has struggled. Adding Osimhen to the Anfield outfit could help Salah get back to his best.
Klopp will also gain a 20-goal striker in the process, which could see Liverpool compete with Manchester City once again to make the Premier League more exciting.

Back in June, news came out about the Reds’ interest in Osimhen but nothing came of it.
With Osimhen set to be available from next summer, they will do well to go back for him.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur are already linked to Gift Orban as they seek out a long-term replacement for Harry Kane.
Victor Osimhen is well above their budget and there have been no reports about a move for the striker from the Tottenham camp.
However, he will be a great addition to the team that Ange Postecoglu is building.
It has all the elements of being a move that will be similar to his move from Lille to Napoli if Osimhen ever wears a Spurs jersey in an official match.
However, with iron-handed negotiators like Aurelio De Laurentiis and Daniel Levy at the helm of both clubs, it is unlikely that the Lilywhites will make a move for the AFCON 2023 qualifiers top scorer.
