The 24-year-old striker scored two wonderful goals to help Napoli get off the mark in their first title defence in 33 seasons. It was also his announcement to the rest of the league that he was not planning to hand over the Capocannoniere at the end of the season.

Victor Osimhen and his partner in crime, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia, once again downed Sassuolo but this time, it was at the home of the Neroverdi. Both of them had put in a similar performance in matchday 12 earlier in the season.

The goal was Osimhen’s 19th goal of the season. He finished with 26 to become the first African to win the top scorer award in Italian football.
