Former Tottenham defender Serge Aurier has expressed his eagerness to begin a new life with his new club Villarreal.
Aurier was presented this Friday as a new Villarreal player. Accompanied by CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles, the new Yellows player underlined his happiness at signing for the Yellows.
“I'm very happy. I can't wait to start and give my thanks to the coaching staff and the president. I know the club and it's a good place to continue my career. I know that we can do a good job together here,” said Aurier.
Aurier underlined his ambition and said that he dreams of winning a new title with Villarreal: “The aim is to win a title. I haven't won a title for a while, and the club has a winning mentality, as we saw last year, but the most important thing is enjoying myself, enjoying the club, enjoying my family and showing my quality and why I am here. I love the atmosphere at the stadium with the fans. I remember the Villarreal teams with Robert Pires and Marcos Senna when I was younger.”
