The list of clubs that have shown interest in Samuel Chukwueze continues to grow, with AC Milan being the latest team to make an approach for the player. Not only are Italian side interested, they are also currently leading the race to sign the Super Eagles superstar.
According to Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Samuel Chukwueze is of interest to AC Milan who have already met his agents for initial talks.

Chukwueze is a player that is part of our list of Nigerian players that could be set for a big move this summer, which was made by us back in May. The 24 year old has shown that he is ready for a step up after the fantastic 2022/2023 campaign he enjoyed for Villareal.
During an episode of the Calciomercato – L’Originale show, reputable Italian journalist, Gianluca DiMarzio confirmed the interest of Milan as well as the talks that were held between the club and Chukwueze”s agents.
“Today Milan met Chukwueze's agents at Casa Milan. The Villarreal outside striker, a name made in recent days. Today two hours of meeting, Chukwueze's agents went to Casa Milan and spoke with Geoffrey Moncada who is practically the new technical manager from the point of view of player choices.
There was no Giorgio Furlani who will return from London in these hours and Milan wanted to understand more the numbers both of the signing of the player and then obviously open negotiations in the coming days with Villarreal.”
Villareal are keen on keeping the Nigerian winger but Chukwueze has all the power in this situation as he is entering the final year of his current contract with the Yellow Submarine. Now that Brahim Diaz has returned to Real Madrid, AC Milan lost a player that gave them pace and dynamism on their lineup and they have identified Chukwueze as a player that can give them that.
Last season with Villareal, he enjoyed his best statistical season in terms of goal involvements. With 13 goals and 11 assists in 50 games, he was one of the best talents in all of Spain and won the La Liga award for the best African player last season. He helped his earn a fifth placed finish and secured Europa League football for next season,
Other teams keeping tabs on Chukwueze
As previously mentioned, AC Milan are not the only team trying to sign the Nigerian international. He has attracted major interest from all over Europe with top sides Like Liverpool, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Aston Villa many others.
Despite all these links, Villarreal President Fernando Roig Alfonso has revealed that no concrete offers have come in for the player at this time. In order to prize the forward away from Spain, the buying club must pay a substantial fee for a player Villaereal see as a vital part of their team.
Chukwueze is currently on international duty with the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of their AFCON 2023 qualifier fixture against Sierra Leone which will take place this Sunday. He is a regular starter for the side and will be a key contributor to their success if his good form for club can translate at the international level.
