Leicester 3-0 Crystal Palace: Iheanacho Scores, Jamie Vardy Bags Brace

Leicester City have finally laid their hands on their first victory since the resumption of the Premier League season against Crystal Palace thanks to a brace from Jamie Vardy and a goal from Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho netted from close range on 49 minutes after a goalless first half, beating Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita to the ball to stab home from close range.

Vardy showed his predatory instinct to score twice in the final 17 minutes as the Foxes secured victory at the King Power Stadium.

Iheanacho set the ball ruling for the Brendan Rodgers side when he opens the scoring with a neat finish in the 49th minute, thanks to sublime assist Belgian star Youri Tielemans.

Recall that the former Manchester City forward was also on target in Leicester 2 – 1 to Everton in the midweek, He has now scored in back to back games since 2018.

Kelechi Iheanacho also hit double figures for the first time since 15/16 and he has also scored five goals in 16 league appearances for Leicester City this season.

Meanwhile Iheanacho’s national teammate Wilfred Ndidi saw action for the entire duration of the game as Jamie Vardy also bagged his 100th premier league goal for the club.
