Paul Scholes Names Man Utd Player Responsible For Southampton Flop

Manchester United played out a 2-2 draw with Southampton on Monday night, putting their place in next season's Champions League in question once again, and Paul Scholes has blamed it all on Victor Lindelof.

Michael Obafemi scored in injury time to deny Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team third place with just three games left.

Speaking after the match, Red Devils’ legend Scholes blamed defender Lindelof for his part in the equaliser. “Lindelof I think has to be a stronger there,” the former midfielder told Premier League Productions.

“He has to be goal side. He allows himself to get a little bit bullied by the centre forward as he manages gets a foot in.

“I don't think Lindelof really reads the danger there as he should do as a centre half.”

United were looking for their fifth league win in-a-row and it would have taken them above both Chelsea and Leicester and into third for the first time this season.

The draw means the race for the top four is still wide open.
