Mohammed Kudus was born in Nima, Accra, Ghana on 2 August 2000. He spent his youth career with two academies: Strong Tower FC, and Right to Dream in his early football years in Ghana.

In 2018 while Kudus was 17 years, scouts from Denmark got their eyes on the talented teenager and was signed by Danish club FC Nordsjaelland.

The youngster made his debut against Brøndby IF in a 2-0 defeat. Soon enough, Kudus went on to prove his undeniable potential as he scored 14 goals and registered 3 assists from 51 appearances in the Superliga.

The performances Kudus put up at the Danish club attracted scouts from Europe’s biggest clubs like Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund, Serie A giants AC Milan, and both clubs from Merseyside in England (Liverpool and Everton).

However, it was Ajax who reacted quickly and got the deal for the player as he put pen to paper to sign a five-year contract to complete a €9 million switch from Nordsjàelland to Amsterdam.

At Ajax, Kudus was quick to hit the ground running with a man of the match performance for Ajax against Vitesse Arnhem, getting an assist as ten men Ajax earned a hard-fought victory on the day.

Upon noticing Kudus football talent in his early years, his parents enrolled him first at Strong Tower FC academy before he was switched over to play for Rights to Dream (another academy) when he was 10 years.

Kudus spent the next seven years of his life learning football tricks, developing and gaining self confidence at Rights to Dream academy before opportunity came to travel abroad and further his football career and development.

Nordsjàelland

The youngster moved to Europe at the age of 17 to join Danish club FC Nordsjælland in January, 2018.

Kudus made his official debut for Nordsjælland three days after his 18th birthday in a 2-0 defeat against Brøndby IF.

At his debut, he became the ninth youngest to feature for the Danish side in history. Kudus played for Nordsjaelland from 2018 to 2020.

The talented attacking midfielder from Nima signed a multi-million year deal with Ajax in the summer of 2020. The African might be young and inexperienced but his services didn't come cheap with the Amsterdam club paying a figure close to 9 million Euros (8.2 million Pounds)

He made his official debut for the club on 20 September in a league match against RKC Waalwijk under coach Eric ten Hag.

Kudus continued his strong performances that were seen in the Danish Superliga, scoring one goal and providing three assists in his first three appearances for Ajax.

His debut in the UEFA Champions League came in a match against Liverpool on 21 October 2020, but unfortunately, Kudus was subbed off after only six minutes, as he suffered a meniscus injury that ruled him out for some months and never returned until February 2021.

Despite his injury setbacks, he played in 13 of Ajax's final 14 league games, as well as 31 minutes of their KNVB Cup semi-final match against Heerenveen as Ajax clinched the domestic double at the end of his first season to mark Kudus' first career trophies.
