In the midst of ongoing transfer speculation, Everton coach Sean Dyche has made an admission regarding midfielder Alex Iwobi‘s potential departure from the club to Fullham.

According to reports, Fulham are close to signing Alex Iwobi. The Super Eagles midfielder is rumored to move across the Premier League in a deal worth around £20 million.

With just one year remaining on his current contract, Iwobi's future at Everton has been the subject of much discussion, and it appears likely that he will be leaving before the transfer deadline tomorrow.

Iwobi has been an important figure for Dyche and Everton in previous years, and he had started both games this season until sustaining a hamstring injury in the 51st minute against Aston Villa.

‘The club has to look at the business side' – Everton coach amid Alex Iwobi's Fulham links

Coach Dyche acknowledged the business aspect of the potential deal when questioned about it, perhaps hinting at a careful consideration of the financial side of the transfer.

“There’s a few circlings around a few of our players, but there’s no agreements yet.” He revealed.

“Tom Cannon is in a similar situation. The club have to look at the business side with a year left on his deal, money is not free flowing so it has to be looked at.

When asked about potential deals to replace Alex Iwobi, he explained with: “You can be as confident as you want, deals have to be done and money has to be available.

“If anything happens we’ll see what we can do next, we need the finances to make it work. The obvious one is the wide areas with injuries, the front area we’re trying to find our balance.

”We’ll see what’s available, but there has been that delay due to finances.”

Furthermore, he said that the club has to look at the business side of it, and he explained that there is a business side to it as the player has a year left on his contract.

As Alex Iwobi's contract situation remains uncertain, it's clear that Everton and the Nigerian international are at a crossroads.

Despite earlier rumors of a possible contract extension, it seems increasingly probable that the Nigerian will seek a new challenge elsewhere.

With Coach Dyche's acknowledgment of the business aspect, it becomes evident that both the player and the club are aware of the potential transfer's financial implications.

As such, Everton's decision regarding Iwobi's future will likely involve a careful evaluation of these factors as the transfer window draws to a close.
