Florentino Perez Set To Remove Real Madrid From La Liga

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is set to leave La Liga for a new league away from Spain.

The club are not happy at all with the league, and La Liga president Javier Tebas for various reasons.

Tebas' staunch opposition to the European Super League is a case for instance.

That has led the Bernabeu side to look at alternatives to La Liga and moving abroad for their domestic league competition, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Premier League is said to be Perez's ‘preferred choice,' because of the vast amounts teams in England make in TV revenue.

However, Perez is also looking at Bundesliga and Serie A as options.

Mundo Deportivo say club chiefs have compelling arguments in favour of considering the move very seriously.

Brexit has been identified as the ‘most serious impediment' to the move happening, although the biggest problem is probably the whole idea of Real Madrid moving to England.

Tebas came out and completely rubbished the idea on Twitter saying: “How much nonsense we have these days.”

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have denied the report saying:

“Given the information published today by the newspaper Mundo Deportivo, in which it says that our club studied going from LaLiga to the Premier, Real Madrid wants to make it clear that it is completely false, as well as absurd and impossible and that it only intends to disturb once more the day to day of our club.”
